“I want the team to be closer to nature and enjoy the cool weather so they can focus and come up with the best plans and strategies for next year.” was the reply of Mr Desmond Pardo, GPI President and Head of Operations, when asked why he chose Baguio to be this year’s venue for the corporate planning.

The team left for Baguio on November 13, 2015 for Group Perspective, Inc.’s 2016 Corporate Planning and the very luxurious Manor Hotel at Camp John Hay was their official residence during the three-day planning.



Headed by Mr. Desmond Pardo, Ms. April Lo-Ah and Ms. Maricar De Leon, the Managing Directors for Sales & Marketing and Finance, respectively, the team mapped out their 2016 plans and programs, with Mr. Pardo setting the overall company direction. This year’s theme “Our Way Forward”, pretty much encompasses everything GPI wants to achieve for the company and its people in the coming years. The team was composed of the Top Management and the department heads for Marketing, Customer Relations, Human Resource and Administration, Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Design and Finance. These people will be the drivers of sustainable engagement and change for GPI, and the transformation begins with GPI’s captain, as he empowers his crew who eagerly trims the sails and pulls the oars to ensure a successful voyage.

Amidst the very tiring yet very productive sessions, and as the cold Baguio breeze embraced them, the team was treated to sumptuous meals at Le Chef of the Manor, which is regarded as the BEST fine-dining restaurant in Baguio. They were graciously joined by one of Manila’s iconic chefs, Chef Billy King for a photo-op during dinner, as their gastronomic cravings were satisfied by the chef’s classic dishes.

The team headed back to Manila, with renewed and rejuvenated spirits, all excited to face the challenges of the coming years, head-on.
